I was hoping for some good aurora this evening due to the enhanced solar wind from a coronal hole on the sun. However, I never could have imagined how awesome it would turn out to be! Easily the best display of the season so far, and could easily end up as one of the best displays of the entire aurora season. We saw the aurora forming and wasted no time in heading to a nearby location so that we caught the very start of the spectacular action. The images explain the rest!
